Please read the following terms carefully before using AloxBook.

Disclaimer of Warranty

THIS SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. The author does not warrant that the software will be error-free, that financial calculations will be accurate, or that the software will meet your specific requirements.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DATA LOSS, DATA CORRUPTION, SYSTEM DAMAGE, INSTALLATION PROBLEMS, OR FINANCIAL LOSS ARISING FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Your Data Stays on Your Device

AloxBook does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All your financial data is stored locally on your machine in encrypted files. No telemetry, no analytics, no cloud sync. Update checks only send standard HTTP headers — no personal data or device identifiers are transmitted. You can disable update checks entirely in Settings.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining regular backups of your data. You acknowledge that encrypted database files are only as secure as the password you choose. You assume all risk associated with the use of this software.

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Austria. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Austria. If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
